Roof Repair Smedway built its Hail Damage Roof Repair division around one idea: homeowners in Kent deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across Kent, OH, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Hail Damage Roof Repair teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
No surprise charges once the crew is already on your roof.
Local crews already know the weather patterns and permit offices in Kent, OH.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Visible light through the roof deck is a direct sign the barrier between your attic and the weather has been compromised.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
Poor roof ventilation or compromised insulation from a slow leak can quietly push cooling costs up month over month.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Whether it's a single emergency tarp or a full system replacement, each service below is handled by technicians who specialize in that exact scope of work.
When high wind or hail peels back a section of roofing, our on-call crew tarps the exposed area to stop active water intrusion before it reaches the decking, then schedules the permanent repair.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
A full tear-off strips the roof down to the decking, replaces damaged boards, and installs a new underlayment and shingle system built to current code.
Scheduled maintenance visits catch loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them into an emergency call.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Kent, OH.
The inspection covers decking condition, flashing points, and ventilation, not just the obvious problem area.
You receive an itemized, written estimate before any work begins, covering materials, labor, and disposal.
A final walkthrough confirms the repair or install meets the agreed scope before the invoice is closed out.
Crews dispatched from within Kent, OH reach most Kent calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Certifications are kept current so warranty coverage on materials stays valid when we install them.
If something about the finished work doesn't meet the agreed scope, we come back and make it right.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Kent, OH to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
We keep multiple crews staged across Kent, OH so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Kent waiting.
Dispatch routes are planned around Kent's actual neighborhoods and access roads, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival estimates tend to hold up.
